It does its job very well, it’s free, the interface is pretty, and it doesn’t take too much RAM when running or too much disk space when installed. Personally, we really liked the software. That means you have a lower likelihood of losing important files since you can simply exclude them from the cleaning process. It offers a high level of control since you can choose what files you want to delete, unlike other app cleaners that will automatically delete all the files. However, some may also consider this an advantage since the app clearly does a good job at its one feature. The main issue with AppCleaner is that it only has one feature-to delete files from a specific app. Overall, we liked the interface since it tells you what you need to do and it’s easy to understand, yet it’s still pleasing to look at. Though the interface is rather simple, it’s still intuitive and since there’s not much going on, it’s far from being intimidating, unlike other apps. The main page is where you drop the apps that you want to clean, the other page is where you select the files you want to delete, and the other page is a setting page of some sort. There are less than five different pages in the app. There are also only two buttons, both of which are located at the top-right corner of the window. There are only four words on the main page, and it tells you what the software does concisely. The user interface of AppCleaner is the epitome of simplicity. Part 4: AppCleaner Review: User Interface That also means it’s mostly free of bugs and issues that are often caused by the app’s incompatibility with the operating system. That means the AppCleaner should pretty much work on any macOS computer or laptop. It was last updated in 2021 when Apple released the latest macOS version, macOS Monterey. There’s an AppCleaner update for macOS Sierra, El Capitan, and High Sierra. To be precise, there is always an update every time Apple releases a new macOS version. Though the software is free, the developer regularly releases updates for the AppCleaner application. That basically means you can use all the features of the app regardless of whether you pay or not, and that’s why the app is called freeware and is liked by many users. However, as it is a donation, you won’t receive any additional features if you do donate. Yes, though the app is free, you have the option to donate a certain amount to the developer, FreeMacSoft, though it’s completely voluntary. It exists for the same reason tools like WinRAR or VLC Media Player exist, to help users for free and give them the choice to donate to the software developer. But why does the app exist in the first place? you may ask. That is perhaps one of its main selling points. The app is completely free of charge, and you won’t be able to find any subscription plans or license prices since there’s no paid version of the app. There’s really nothing to complain about in regard to the price of AppCleaner. This AppCleaner review will focus on the macOS version of the app. Their features are also relatively different from one another. The Windows version is developed by a different team of developers called UpdateStar. Keep in mind that the AppCleaner for macOS isn’t the same as the AppCleaner for Windows PCs. Though the company is relatively unknown, the app itself is quite popular among users, for many users, but we’ll get to that later.
